Design that starts with the architecture, not the furniture
A villa is not a large apartment. Double-height volumes, staircases as sculptural objects, courtyards, terraces and garden edges all have to be resolved before a single piece of furniture is specified. We begin with a volumetric study — how light moves through the house across the day, where the sightlines land from the entrance, how the staircase reads from the living room — and design the interiors as a continuation of the architecture rather than a layer applied on top of it.
Bespoke joinery and material curation
At this level, catalogue modular units stop being the right answer. We detail bespoke joinery — veneer-matched wall panelling, fluted and rib detailing, custom bar and crockery units, book-matched stone counters, brass and antique-gold inlay. Material selection is curated in person: Italian marble and Indian stone from the yard, veneer from the sheet, fabric from the swatch. We shortlist to three options with a clear recommendation and a reason, so you are choosing rather than drowning.
Architectural lighting design
Lighting is what separates a luxury interior from an expensive one. We design in layers — ambient cove, task lighting at work surfaces, accent lighting on art and texture, and decorative fixtures as focal points — with dimming zones and warm 2700–3000K temperatures throughout. Every circuit, driver location and dimmer is documented in the electrical drawing before the ceiling closes, because retrofitting lighting into a finished villa is expensive and always compromised.
Coastal-grade specification for ECR and Neelankarai
Villas along ECR, Neelankarai, Injambakkam and Kovalam sit in salt-laden air that corrodes standard hardware and blisters ordinary finishes within a few seasons. For these projects we specify SS-304 hardware, marine-grade plywood throughout, PU finishes rated for coastal exposure, and powder-coated aluminium instead of MS wherever it is exposed. It costs more upfront and saves a repaint-and-replace cycle every three years.

Villa & Luxury Residence Interiors in Chennai — FAQs
The questions we are asked most often about villa & luxury residence interiors in Chennai, answered plainly.
What does villa interior design cost in Chennai?
A 3,000 sq ft villa in Chennai typically starts around ₹18 lakh for a well-specified interior and runs to ₹60 lakh and above for bespoke joinery, imported stone and full lighting design. Cost per square foot is a more useful benchmark at this scale — most of our villa projects land between ₹1,200 and ₹3,000 per sq ft of built-up area.
Do you work on ECR and OMR villas?
Yes — ECR, Neelankarai, Injambakkam, Kovalam, OMR gated communities, Sholinganallur and Navalur are among our most frequent villa locations. For coastal sites we specify SS-304 hardware, marine-grade plywood and coastal-rated PU finishes as standard because ordinary specification fails quickly in salt air.
How long does a villa interior project take?
Typically 90 to 120 days from design sign-off for a 3,000 to 4,500 sq ft villa. Bespoke joinery and imported material lead times are the main driver, so we place long-lead orders during the design stage rather than after.
Can you work alongside our architect or contractor?
Yes. We regularly join projects during construction and coordinate directly with the architect and civil contractor on electrical layouts, plumbing points, false ceiling levels and floor finishes. Joining before the electrical conduits are laid gives a noticeably better result than joining after handover.
